Dawang Ventilation Supports Wu Zhong Instrument’s 80,000-square-meter Factory with Ventilation and C
Project Background
Wuzhong Instrument Co., Ltd. It is a leading enterprise in China's control valve industry, with its production base located in Ningxia and a total plant area of 80,000 square meters. As the country's largest control valve manufacturing hub, the facility houses a dense array of machining centers, assembly lines, and testing equipment, resulting in a heavy production workload. However, due to the large span and high ceiling of the buildings, combined with solar radiation and heat generated by the equipment, indoor temperatures often exceed 35°C during summer, while air stagnation is severe. This not only impairs employee productivity and comfort but also places stringent demands on environmental control during the precision valve‑assembly process. Conventional wall‑mounted fans and localized ventilation systems struggle to adequately cover such expansive spaces, while installing full‑scale air conditioning entails prohibitively high capital and operating costs. The company urgently requires a ventilation solution that balances effectiveness with cost efficiency.
Solution
Following an on-site inspection, Dawang Ventilation tailored a solution for Wuzhong Instrument, comprising dozens of units with diameters of… 7.3-meter HVLS industrial ceiling fan A core ventilation system. This fan features a large-diameter, low-speed design, with each unit effectively covering approximately 1,500 square meters; when dozens of units are arranged in coordination, they can provide seamless coverage across an 80,000-square-meter factory space. During operation, the airflow is directed downward in a conical pattern toward the floor and then spreads outward, generating a gentle breeze of 1–3 m/s that mimics natural wind, effectively eliminating temperature stratification indoors and accelerating air exchange between indoor and outdoor environments, thereby addressing issues such as high temperatures, stuffiness, and unpleasant odors in one go. The equipment is equipped with a PMSM permanent‑magnet synchronous motor, achieving IE4 ultra‑high efficiency, with a full‑load power consumption of only about 1.3 kW, delivering significant energy‑saving benefits.
Implementation Outcomes
Environmental Quality Enhancement: After installation, each workstation in the workshop is continuously enveloped by a steady airflow, reducing perceived temperatures by approximately 5–8°C during the summer and significantly improving air circulation. Employees report a marked increase in workplace comfort.
Significant reduction in energy consumption: Compared with traditional fans or localized air-conditioning systems, overall energy consumption is reduced by more than 60%, enabling the factory to achieve significant annual electricity cost savings.
Winter auxiliary heating: In winter, switching to reverse mode forces the hot air that has accumulated at the top down toward the floor, enhancing the circulation of the heating system and further reducing heating energy consumption.
Project Significance
This project represents a quintessential success story in ventilation and cooling for ultra-large‑space industrial facilities. With its high‑efficiency, energy‑saving, and intelligent solutions, Dawang Ventilation helped Wuzhong Instrument achieve a comprehensive upgrade of the entire plant's environmental conditions while keeping capital expenditures under control, thereby providing a replicable green ventilation framework for similar manufacturing enterprises across China. Moving forward, both parties will continue to deepen their collaboration, jointly advancing the low‑carbon, comfort‑oriented development of industrial environments.
